Tuning in...

I am excellent at tuning out any and every kind of outside noise. Particularly my husband and kids. I learned how to do it at a very young age out of self defense. When I was nine, my baby twin sisters were born and that bumped our family of four kids up to a family of six in a hurry! Not only that, but all six of us shared a bedroom. When the twins went through the "crying-it-out" stage, guess who had to learn how to go to sleep with two screaming babies in the room... I got real good at tuning things out... Shane is constantly getting on to me because the kids will be talking to me or trying to ask me a question and I just don't hear them.

Anyway, tonight my two boys were talking in the living room while I was cooking dinner. I had been completely in la-la land, but I tuned in to hear their conversation, which I thought was about the animals that they had been watching on some Animal Planet show.

G: "Well, they might eat us. I think that we might be pretty tasty."

H: "No one eats humans. We are really gross."

G "I don't think that animals think that we taste gross. I think that we are just meat."

H: "I know that we taste gross. One time, I tasted Landry's tongue. I can tell you that it was gross!"

National Scrapbook Day

Happy National Scrapbook Day! I know that you guys all think that today is only about Cinco de Mayo, but you were wrong! :) I spend most of my time working on cards and orders and I find myself falling ever further behind on the scrapbook front. I have been working to get photos into layouts and please don't judge that these photos are from two summers ago...
This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of Landry. I cut all of my letters on the Cricut and made my flower out of circles stitched together and cut apart hexagons to use as the petals.

The bottom of the picture is framed in green buttons, all from my "stash."

I'm hoping to knock out a couple more layouts today in honor of the big day!
