As we are exploring and getting to know our new neighborhood, we found this lake within walking distance of our house. The boys are thrilled!
We took off on our little hike and saw plenty of wildlife. There is a levy that runs behind our houses in the neighborhood and leads to the lake. The levy is full of birds, ducks and fish.
This little family of ducks was the cutest thing. They had over ten little ducklings in tow and we had a great time following them for a bit.
After our hike and some water, we hopped in the pool to cool off (it is getting quite warm down here). When we finished swimming the kids took their towels and headed to the swing sets to dry off before heading in for some lunch.
It has been an absolute pleasure to watch our little family enjoy our new house so much. The kids are having a blast in our backyard!
