Saying hello and goodbye...again

Our long time good friends, Mike and Ashley, are having great things happen to them. They recently returned from China with their new daughter, Kate, and in the same month are moving to Alabama to a new and better job. We are very excited for them and sad for us all at the same time. We headed to their house this week to help them pack, meet Kate for the first time (she is very sweet), and say goodbye.

sniff...sniff...

I feel like we have gotten semi-familiar with saying goodbye over the years. We have followed each other around the country and have been fortunate to be within an hour and a half of them for a little while now. We have been spoiled with having them so close and their girls are good friends with our kids. We will miss them very much and will have to plan a trip to go and see them!

The kids did lots of playing while Ashley and I packed up her kitchen.



It is amazing how much stuff a kitchen can spit from all of it's cupboards! We filled box after box... All that stuff gave us lots of time to talk, though. ;)

After all of that packing we headed to the backyard to do a little playing.
